Fear Dental Appointments No More
Solutions for Your Dental Anxiety
It is common for patients to feel fearful or anxious about dental care. If you fall into this category, you are certainly not alone, and our team of compassionate general dentists is here to help. We offer a variety of sedation dentistry solutions we’ll personalize to assure your comfort during your appointment. Best of all, you don’t have to be receiving dental surgery to take advantage of our sedation options! If your dental anxiety is causing you to skip routine teeth cleanings, our relaxing sedation dentistry services are just what you need to overcome your anxiety and fear.
For patients with mild anxiety, nitrous oxide breathed in through a mask over your nose creates a calm, happy state. You won’t fall asleep or forget your procedure, so for higher levels of anxiety, oral sedation is a beneficial option. This medication is taken by mouth prior to your appointment that’ll have a drowsy and sometimes amnesic effect, though you’ll be awake. For more severe cases of dental anxiety, we recommend IV sedation, which allows you to “sleep” comfortably through your procedure and wake with no memory of your appointment. As you can see, no level of dental anxiety is too great for you to experience a relaxing and comfortable dental appointment at Bela Family Dentistry!
